The village has great transport links with a local bus service to most island destinations. The Fishbourne to Portsmouth car ferry is twenty minutes away and other car ferry terminals to and from the mainland that link Cowes with Southampton and, Yarmouth with Lymington. There is also the passenger ferry and hovercraft service between Ryde and Portsmouth.
