Fundraising for Mountbatten 31 Jan 2022
Last week, Julie Hutchings and James McClelland were delighted to visit Mountbatten in Newport and especially pleased to be able to hand them a cheque for £5,000. We have been raising money throughout 2021 to help towards the work of the Mountbatten at Home Community Nursing Team, who care for people in their own homes at the end of their lives, whilst also supporting family and carers.

Julie Hutchings, director of Hose Rhodes Dickson, commented: “We have always been huge supporters of our local community and it is really important to us that we give something back to the Island, especially after what everyone has gone through the past couple of years. The work done at Mountbatten plays a big role in Island life, I don’t think there is anyone that hasn’t been affected in one way or another, whether personally or through family and friends. The fact that we have supported ‘Walk the Wight’ from the beginning makes for a natural fit that we should continue to support Mountbatten”.
Nigel Harley, CEO at Mountbatten said: “‘Hose Rhodes Dickson have been long term supporters of Mountbatten and we’re so pleased they have chosen to raise money in order to continue the funding of a Mountbatten nurse. Their support will directly benefit so many people living on the Island needing the support of our specialist nurses.”
