A famous Victorian seaside resort, Ventnor has been attracting visitors for decades. The town lies beneath St Boniface Down, which is the highest point on the Isle of Wight, and is built on the side of a steep hill that winds down to the seafront and sandy beach.
Ventnor Harbour is a popular destination on the seafront and offers a great view out to sea, and the Ventnor Haven Fishery sells fresh seafood straight off the boat - try the local delicacy of crab and chips!
Perhaps the most famous of all the Island's pubs, The Spyglass Inn sits at the end of the esplanade. Here you will find hearty food, local live music and a great selection of beers, wines and local ales.
Visit in the summer months and you will be treated to the fantastic event of Ventnor Fringe. Showcasing talent from around the world and closer to home, it is a quirky festival with something for all the family to enjoy.
